Johannah Dietrich
Social Media
Johannah earned her Bachelor’s degree in Music Education-Percussion from Kansas State University in 2013 and has been playing percussion for over 15 years. Currently she teaches Band and Drumline at Jason Lee Middle School in Tacoma, WA and is the Percussion Instructor at Peninsula High School in Gig Harbor, WA. Johannah is also a professional drummer and is the bass drum section lead for the Seattle Seahawk’s Blue Thunder Drumline. She has also played with groups like the Denver Bronco’s Stampede Drumline and Rocky Mountain Steel Bands.
Ryan Powell

Ryan Powell is a junior at Joe E. Newsome High School and has been a member of their marching band since freshman year. Currently, he serves as the tenor section leader. In a previous indoor percussion season, he also marched snare. In the future, Ryan hopes to attend the University of South Florida in pursuit of a masters degree in sports marketing.
Jackson Arnold

Jackson is an aspiring filmmaker and percussionist from Upstate New York. Jackson had the privilege to perform on snare drum with many ensembles over the past few years including United Percussion, Mandarins Drum & Bugle Corps, Pulse Percussion, and Boston Crusaders (for the oncoming season). In his spare time, Jackson likes to work his creative muscle through videography and editing. Jackson graduated in 2019 with an Associates Degree in New Media which expanded his knowledge and understanding of the many elements of media and film.
Rackley Kincaid
Video Specialist
Rackley Kincaid is a Sophomore at Garner High School and was a member of the school’s marching band this past year. He has been involved in music since he was six years old when he started playing guitar. Since then he has picked up the ukulele, the mandolin, and of course percussion. This is his 5th year playing percussion. He loves editing and wants to pursue it as a potential career in the future.
Michael Fabian

Michael Fabian is a third year student at The University at Buffalo, studying music performance with a focus in percussion. Michael is the center snare for the UB drumline, and has marched with them for three years. He also drums for DownBeat Percussion and the Buffalo Bills drumline. In the future he hopes to march DCI and take his chops to the next level.
Nicholas Hall
Video Specialist
Nicholas Hall is an active composer, percussionist, educator and arranger with a strong passion for creating new sounds and textures. He seeks to expand beyond the realm of a single genre; taking influence from his diverse musical background, he works to fuse these genres into a single multi-genre style. His music has been described as “beautifully ambient” with “smooth and rich dynamics of the timbre sonorities” alongside “strong rhythmic vitality and clear textures.” Nicholas continues to push himself and others beyond certain comfort levels in order to create a unique voice among other artists of the 21st century.
Lex Benes
Video Specialist
Lex Benes is a landscape designer who enjoys playing all styles of percussion. He has previously worked for Opera Santa Barbara and Lindamood-Bell Learning Processes, and is interested in pursuing a graduate degree to study Music Cognition and Perception. He performs weekly with Gamelan Sinar Surya, a group dedicated to preserving, teaching and performing Gamelan music. He has visited Indonesia twice to study the language, music, dance (and eat good food!)
Jacob Singer
Video Specialist
Jacob Singer was born and raised in Huntington Beach, California. He is a graduate of Fountain Valley High School and currently attends California State University, Fullerton where he studies Entertainment and Tourism. Jacob began his drum corps career in 2013 at Pacific Crest and went on to march four seasons with them. Jacob has served on staff at schools including Canyon Springs High School (NV) in 2016, Gahr High School in 2017 and Esperanza High School in 2017, 2018 and 2019. Aside from Music, Jacob is also a huge baseball fan and enjoys playing with the CSUF Club Baseball team in the Spring.
Aaron Santos
Video Specialist
Aaron is a high school senior, percussionist, and computer scientist from Florida. His music career started in freshman year, when he was a member of his school’s front ensemble. Although the marching band was small, Aaron learned that community and collaboration is an invaluable part of performing in a larger ensemble. This later inspired him to play jazz piano and serve as an accompanist for several of his peer’s solo and ensemble pieces.
Outside of music, Aaron enjoys learning – especially about computers. He is a part of an independent CyberPatriot team and is a co-founding member of his school’s computer club. In the future, he plans to study Data Science. Aaron has many passion projects in store, ranging from running a tech blog to starting a sustainable clothing brand.
Sean Anderson
Notation Sync Lead
Sean spent most of his life in East Syracuse, NY, where he is from. Sean marched with the White Sabers for two seasons (’17,’18) and was offered a chance to be a part of the Matrix family. Sean eventually auditioned for Phantom Regiment and ended up being offered another amazing chance. When he is not on a field/floor Sean enjoys dancing, composing/arranging/writing, and listening to/making music.
Cameron Johnston
Notation Specialist
Cameron Johnston has his Bachelors in Music Composition and is currently working on his Masters in Music Composition with Interactive Media from California State University, Long Beach. His primary instrument is Tuba but he also plays most brass instruments and piano. Cameron works often with experimental Theater and Dance, having works performed and premiered in Los Angeles, Off-Off-Broadway in New York, and Seoul, Korea. When not performing or composing, Cameron likes to spend time with his three dogs: Millie, Mika, and Mabel, as well as reading
Reese Mitchell
Notation Specialist
Reese Mitchell is an aspiring educator and percussionist currently working towards a degree in Music Education at the University of Memphis. Throughout his music career Reese has played in the front ensemble for a total of four years at Collierville High School and was section leader for a total of two years before he went on to march cymbals in the Mighty Sound of the South for two years. Reese is planning to try out for his first WGI group in the upcoming year to help expand his knowledge of marching percussion.
Outside of the marching arts, Reese enjoys playing guitar, playing in the Percussion Ensemble, Orchestra, and Wind Ensemble at the University, and teaching front ensemble/percussion lessons in the Memphis area.
Nvayo Ndongwa
Notation Specialist
Nvayo has been involved in the marching arts for over 7 years. He has marched with White Sabers and Matrix and plans on auditioning for DCI in the fall. He is also a member of the Buffalo Bills Stampede Drumline. When he’s not working or playing, he spends his free time writing music or dancing.
Dan Schmitt

Dan is a percussionist at VanderCook College of Music who is majoring in music education. Based out of Chicago, IL, Dan has had experience marching with Shadow Drum and Bugle Corps, Crystal Lake Thunder Indoor Percussion, and will be spending next summer with the Madison Scouts Drum and Bugle Corps. Outside of music, Dan enjoys spending time hiking, attempting to becoming better at Smash Bros, and training his kitten, Coda.
Josh Doody

Josh has been involved in music for over six years. He started off playing the saxophone and later switched to percussion – which he has been playing for over four years. Josh has marched in his high school’s marching band, where he served as the section leader, as as well as the Connecticut Hurricanes. In his free time, Josh enjoys writing and playing various types of music.
Will Jung

Will Jung is a dedicated music educator who strives to evoke passion and inspiration to every student he comes across. A native of Fayetteville, North Carolina, Will was in the school choir at his elementary school before picking up the trumpet in sixth grade. By the time he was in high school, he was immersed in the band program, especially the marching band, and participated in each available ensemble. He also was very adamant in auditioning for his local honors bands, where he successfully made first chair trumpet during his senior year. Acknowledging all that band has done for him, Will pursued a music education degree in college to follow the path of the many great music teachers who have mentored him growing up. He has since taught music internationally, and now resides in Raleigh, NC where he is currently the director of orchestras in the Wake County Public Schools System as well as a marching band instructor for multiple local programs.
Liam Guiritan

Liam Guiritan is a graphic design major at DePaul University in Chicago, IL. He currently serves as the Public Relations Officer for the Philippine student group on campus and takes photos during meetings and events. He also takes photos for other organizations on campus.
In high school, Liam was a member of the front ensemble and was a section leader for two of those years. He also was involved in the percussion ensemble, where he designed the cover of the program of his school’s annual percussion concert.

Robyn is a sophomore at DePaul University, studying Public Relations and Advertising (PRAD) with a minor in graphic design. She is a member of DePaul’s K-Pop dance group.
In her free time, she likes to explore the city (when not in the middle of a pandemic).
She has loved music ever since she was little and is looking forward to combining her love for music and passion for design with Drumline Blueprint and Ensemble Block!
